What is anger?
Anger is an aggressive reaction to thoughts and feelings.
Common triggers that precede anger are:
- Actions or reactions of others
- Difficult situations
- Frustration
- disagreements
- Traumatic memories
Anger also is a sign of delayed development of interpersonal skills such as flexibility and adaptability.
How to control anger?
Calming activities:
- Get deep breath through the nose to a count of 4 and exhale through the mouth to a count of 4. Continue this breathing for 4 minutes.
- Listening to calming, soothing music using headphones
- Physical activities such as swimming, running, hiking, ….
